When you feel like you wanna make your world noiseless, the best thing to do is stare at an object and focus. Life will all of a sudden make you travel through time and will make you rediscover how magical your boring life can be. You surprisingly see the people you spend all of your time with in an eery-like manner. You find out why the first time you met them, you felt a certain kind of fondness, why you didn't feel at ease with them, why you knew that you can never be close friends with them, why you went into a "catch-a-gaze" contest with them... There is no sound, it's purely VISUAL... it's superficial.

But do we actually believe that surfaces are what constitute superficiality?

I didnt think so.
