MANIC STUDYING + EXCESSIVE PANICKING = NEGOTIABLE INSTRUMENTS CLASS

I have a valid suggestion for the class, we should have a VICTORY PARTY everytime we survive our 2-hour NEGO class. I swear, I tremble like crazy when I get reminded of the possibility of being called in this class. I haven’t been called yet and this is making me crazier. Why? Because my classmates are just sooooooooooooooooo good. If there is one thing I could say about former 1-C now 2-B it would have to be… “We all deserve to stay.” You have to be in this class to understand how pressured you can feel. I am amidst the presence of the future best lawyers of Ateneo. I am not exaggerating; I could see how far this section can go. We always announce disclaimers like, “Di ako aral.” Or “Nakatulog ako kagabi.” Or “Di ko talaga alam.” But at the end of the day, WE DELIVER. Heck, we don’t just deliver, we make this look good.

Still can’t get the picture? Classes are suspended for tomorrow, but I am sure my classmates are still studying because they feel like this is the only chance they’ll get to do some advanced reading. Seryoso. I’m sure the people whom I watched Pirates of the Carribean with feel guilty that they did that. Damn I felt guilty. Imbes na maglakwatsa o magpahinga ng malupit, I’m sure everyone’s either catching up on “lags” from last week or just plain studying for next week. Ganun kadugo.

One can never be too proud of the fact that he/she is part of this section. These guys make me strive harder. Basta, I just had to write this to express how happy I am that I am still here. I plan on staying. Bakit? Simple lang, BAKIT HINDI?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CES! Kampay!

How so? (tono ni “Snow White” na kilala lamang ni Ces at ng mga friends ko, sorry inside joke, may imminent danger kung sasabihin ko ang name nya) Well, kasi nun mismong araw ng birthday ni Ces na Friday, nilibre nya sa inuman ang kanyang mga college friends, and since I’m just in Starbs, natawag na rin nya ko para sa inuman. I was more than happy to oblige, dahil nga tigang na tigang kami sa alcohol [oo, kahit na kaka-party lang din namin last Saturday) Sabi nga namin,, “This is the LIFE!”. Nawawala ako sa kwento, anyway, we ended up drinking with the people of Section A. Actually I know most of ‘em na rin because we got introduced at one point in our lives in law school, but it’s always nice to get to know people while they’re drinking. Kasi nga ALCOHOL is a SOCIAL LUBRICANT. Oo, favorite ko sabihin un. Bakit?

Saan pa kundi sa GOOD EARTH. FROM NOW ON if I am talking about my good friend-slash-blockmate, I shall call her Yvie… “FOR BREVITY”) ayun na nga ang pambungad ni Yves ay… “Si Eunice… naka-jackpot yan nun Saturday kay Ave.” Kaya, naisip ko na nawala lahat ang aking pinaghirapan na reputasyon (as if!) dahil simula noong INTO THE BLUE, I shall be remembered as the host who participated in the HUMAN AUCTION for AVE. I was thinking of taking him home for free. Bwahaha. Kidding! (Tono ni Jamie). So there, doon nag-umpisa ang inuman. Syempre pa present din ang aking dalawang “Most fave friends of Ces” na si Krisette at Carlo. Si Crisette dahil SOOOOOOOOOOOOBRANG perky sya. Si Carlo dahil hmm… BAGAY SILA NI CES. Hehe, kidding. Peace Ces ang Carlo! [uyy, parehong C… hmm…] Come to think of it, si Janna ay isa nang SOURCE OF JOY for me. Why?

Therefore… nag-marathon sya err nag-medley sya ng mga SONGS from MUSICALS. Laughtrip kung laughtrip. SO there. Dun na nagtapos ang gabi.

MUSIC 21 [Pag sinabi namin kakanta kami, KAKANTA KAMI!]

Actually joint celebration ito with Kiboy.

RAID! RAID!

In the end, naging excuse namin for the WEEK ang birthday ni Ces. Pero maniwala man kayo sa hindi, after mag-videoke at after namin tumuloy sa Good Earth para ituloy ang inuman… tumuloy kami ni Ces sa Starbucks para mag-aral. Opo, at 10pm ay nag-aral parin kami ni Ces. Iba na talaga kami.

Malaki na ang pinagbago. Any chance we get, nag-aaral. Totoong law students na nga kumbaga. Thank you Lord. Basta HAPPY BIRTHDAY CES! [and Kibs]

When it Rains, it POURS!

When it rains, it pours but according to Ana, it’s the other way around. Kidding! [tono ni Jamie, peace girl!]

Anyways, I had the honor of hosting two successful events at the Ateneo School of Law. The first one was the Back to School Party for our School Staff’s Kids and the other was INTO THE BLUE: Back to School Party for the LAW Students. Both of these events I hosted with an equally hilarious then-acquaintance-now-I’d-like-to-think-a-newfound-friend Aj.

Kids, Kids, Kids.

First of, I was the “commhead” for the Programs Committee. I was informed by Jacqui when I hosted the Orientation Seminar for the Freshies. Hmm, the only concern that I had was where the hell would I find clowns? I had no idea, buti na lang my mom’s very observant kaya she knows na may Clowns for Hire sa tapat ng aming all-time fave salon na Finesse [SIDE KWENTO: all-time fave kasi one of Finesse’s make-up artists-slash- hairstylists is Bong. He was my makeup artist for both my junior and senior prom, my debut, highschool and college graduation..therefore, he practically saw me grow up. Err, or just GROW, hehe]. The Back to School Party for the Kids was fun not only because I got to sort of host it but also because I once again got to hangout with my most fave kind of people. Kung this guy from Still Standing in Starworld sings, “Children, I hate children children, they’re my least favorite kind of people.” I am definitely humming an opposite tune. At first, I connected with a few guy kids when we got into a discussion about WWE and Anime. Twas cool talking to them, seeing the twinkle in their eyes while talking about the things that they’re interested in. It’s always a refreshing experience when kids are around. But the highlight of my day was my hanging out with Kuya Nino’s kid, Fiona. She’s like my kid version, only more matakaw [but then again, I could be wrong, I ain’t really sure how matakaw I was to accumulate the weight that I have now, hehe] Fiona’s an unbelievably adorable kid. Sooooooooooobrang cute. Di pa nags-start un program she just nonchalantly blurted out, “Gutom na ‘ko. Gusto ko na kumain.” I swear, kahit siguro mag-tantrums sya to the highest level, cute parin sya ng sobra.

INTO THE BLUE

“Alcohol is a social lubricant.” -Just Like Heaven

I couldn’t agree more, if alcohol’s a social lubricant, it sure made things pretty smooth last night. If I am gonna describe the party as regards my experience and my friends’ experiences I would say that it was, “The Night of STEPPING UP”. It’s amazing how a few bottles of Red Horse [or well, a tablespoon of San Mig Light for Ralph Calinisan and half a bottle [yan ha, mas mabait ako sayo] for Mike Lo] turns everyone into FRIEND MACHINES. If I may borrow Ana’s words, Everyone was KISSY-KISSY, and HUGGY HUGGY at minsan pa nga, PERVY PERVY. Ehem.

Dahil fresh pa ito sa memory ko, I shall narrate everything that happened to me last Saturday. My day started early because I had Crim at 12 noon. It started bad, I woke up around 11:30 am and I was so sure I wouldn’t make it to class. Buti na lang my prof sort of arrived a few minutes late, just enough for me to catch my breath when I brisk-walked my way to room 309. I was hoping I’d get called to recite before we reach the HEADACHE-CAUSING Circumstances but I think it’s God way of telling me, “Abuso ka na ha, pinagbibigyan na nga kita lagi e. Ngayon naman ako babawi, magdusa ka sa pagme-memorize. “ Anyways, if there’s anything interesting about our class, it was that my professor noticed Mel’s wearing her Skinny Jeans. Oh well Mel, isipin mo na lang un happy thought na sinabi ko sayo. [Head to toe, head to toe]

After class, we went straight to Starbucks to meet up with Ana. Ces went home to take her beauty rest, haha. Nga pala, I took the liberty of bringing a few of my accessories and while I was showing ‘em off to Mel and Ana, Miguel, a barista friend of ours, asked me if I’m selling ‘em. Ngarks, sabagay mukha nga ako nagbebenta ng hikaw. STILL. Mel went back to Ateneo to study and to prepare for the Mass at 5pm. Syemps Choir sya. So Ana and I “studied” so we wouldn’t feel guilty about partying that night. Ako nakapag-aral, si Ana.. hmm… no comment. Blessing in disguise na rin, at least I got to study na for Nego. Yihee, feeling advance reader na.

So there, we all regrouped at around 6pm. Haze and Mel decided to have dinner at Powerplant while Ana and I earlier grabbed a bite at 7 eleven. I must admit that I was sort of panicking because I didn’t have any idea of how the program will go. When I called Aj to ask him where he is and what he’s wearing (oo, maling-mali na ginawa ko un, it was like a conversation fit for cyber sex.. “What are you wearing? Hahaha) But well, it was short-lived kasi mas malaking problema ang hinarap ko… WHITE PANTS o BROWN PANTS? In the end, nanalo ang brown pants dahil uhmm, naisip namin ni Ces na di ko kayang di madumihan ang puting pantalon. Logical diba? Ito pa pala, Ces arrived with her “friend” Carlo. Sabi ko na nga, this party brings out the “Stepping Up skills” within us. Peace Ces.

Supposedly, the party’s at 8pm. We know that it’s not gonna start ng 8pm but we didn’t know that the program’s gonna start at around 10:30 pa. I know it’s normal but I was expecting to end the program earlier so people could just start dancing after since there were four spinners for the night. The first spinner was Ave. Hmm, we’re classmates for Crim 1, he’s from Section D. Natawa na lang ako kasi sa pagkakaalam ko, absent sya sa Crim, therefore... alam nya ang priorities nya. Aprub. Haha. Hahaha. And he has this brilliant idea of what to call the next Back to School Party, Ana and I kasi came up with the title, “ESTOPPED” but no he had to come up with a really perverse one, “Bakat to School Party”. Err, need I say more?

But noooooo, ikaw pa ang nauna samin. Excited din ako na nandun sya kasi sabi ko nga sa kanya, “He brings out the best in me… err or the WORST in me?” kasi usually nagkakasala ako pag nandyan sya e. Pero dahil nga according to him, he’s a NICE GUY at talaga namang dinemonstrate pa nya un “Mr Nice Guy High” nya, I’ll give it to him and agree with the fact that he’s one of my most favorite guy friends as of the moment. But it was seriously great to see him again, come to think of it, twas like a spur-of-the-moment reunion. Bakit kaya Shem? Hahaha. Raul’s coming back next sem, at wala akong ibang natanong sa kanya kundi.. “Bakit magulo ang buhok mo ngayon?” Oh well Rockwell. Shem.

You can also blame it sa music, syempre everyone had to lean closer so they could talk, talagang may sense of intimacy. False intimacy man, it feels great to get acquainted or reacquainted with new people. Parang bagong group of people na potentially ay magiging friends in the future.

You have to give it to him, halatang-halata na di ako girlfriend material for him or else he wouldn’t be cracking all these really lame knock-knock jokes. Hehe, kidding. Naging SOURCE OF JOY sya for that night. Gusto nyo ng sample?

Paolo: Knock, knock.
Euns: Who’s there.
Paolo: Come back to me.
Euns: Come back to me who?
Paolo: Come back to me-bok ang puso…
[insert ANG TV’s Oha! O-ha! Oooo-ha!]

Meron pa sya isang joke pero nakalimutan ko na, or pwedeng subconsciously binlock ng brain ko so I wouldn’t use it again. Ganun sya kalala. Sige na nga babawi naman ako. In fairness to him, he was warm, funny and a good conversationalist. Ano pa ba, he looked good on his baby blue shirt. Ayan ha, bumawi na ko for not fulfilling my promise of using your jokes while hosting the program. Next time tambay tayo kina SHEM? Ok?

I also got formally introduced to Eric. Technically we know na each other kasi we sort of played badminton with ‘em once and well, we always see each other around school and Starbs. Kasi uhmm, pulang-pula na sya after a few drops of his San Mig Light. Loko lang. Kasalanan mo, di ka kasi sumayaw nun pinapasayaw ka namin e. haha. Si Mr Lawschool 2005 naman when we got introduced the first thing he said was, “You’re always in Starbucks right?” Astig diba, at least the next time we bump into each other sa Starbucks, magkakaron na ng acknowledgment na magkakilala kami. I got acquainted to two paolo’s, the first was Panelo and the other was Mel’s Paolo. I mean, Mel’s friend, Paolo. Regcom. Diba Mel?

[Thunder and lightning strikes!!!!] I also got to meet my partner-in-crime Aj’s girlfriend. I forget her name but she’s a sweet girl. Sabi ko nga sa kanya, does she know what she’s getting herself into? I just had to protect her from AJ. Kidding. Pia was really accommodating and uhmm, nurturing.

During the program we had a “HUMAN AUCTION” o ika nga ni Aj, PAGBEBENTA NG LAMAN. It started out well, uhmm.. sort of. We test-auctioned Carlo Vergara ba un? Noong totohanan na,We auctioned a guy from first year and guess who won? Ralph Calinisan. [unfortunately, hehe] Then we auctioned Margie. Uhmm, she was gorgeous, sabi ko nga, DI NYA PINAGHANDAAN ang pagpapa-auction sa kanya. She was wearing the “Snooooooooop” shorts [inside joke] and her backless kung backless dyosa top. Gusto ko lang sabihin kay Margie na I didn’t mean to embarrass her whatsoever, I envy her for being gorgeous so she doesn’t have to feel bad about being auctioned.

Just when I thought my job’s done, people began to request for Ave [Avelino Cruz] to be auctioned. I was thinking, “Sabagay, yummy nga itong Ave na ito.” So Aj and I just went on and called Ave for the auction. Imagine my horror when I heard ‘em bid… using my name. Ayun na, and my interesting night became MORE INTERESTING. Di man halata talaga namin parang hiyang-hiya ako when I realized that my friends WON the auction. Meaning: AKO po ang nanalo. Hmmm… In fairness, hot sya. I got a hug even before I won the auction, at nang nanalo na ako ehem… I got a some kinduva a kiss. Grabe, I was INSTIGATED to commit a crime of passion. Good job girl. Haha. One time big time lang naman un. [Kahit na in reality, I can down 6 bottles of Red Horse without being tipsy]

Therefore, talagang when it rains, it pours.

After a few yosi’s and a lot of beer plus gazillions of kwentuhan and a li’l sayawan… we decided to call it a night, uhmm day,, uhmmm. JANNA.

Uhmm, she was drunk pero uhmm, sobrang adorable nya. Pinagdiskitahan nyang talaga ang aking “FUR”.

Ces: Janna can you drive?
Janna: Yeah… [akmang magd-drive] uhmm, this is not my car.
[err, oo Janna. Car ni Ces yan]

Janna: I love touching you.
Euns: The fur.
Janna: This feels like my dog who died.
Euns: Thanks ha.

Janna: You cant sit here.
Carlo: Why?
Janna: Because you don’t have fur.

Ces: Are you sure you can drive?
Janna: Yeah.
Ces: Sa pasig?
Janna: Yeah… teka lang… Is it one way going there?
[uhmm? Err…]

Janna : (sipping coffee)
Ces: Janna, that’s not your coffee.
Janna: oh really? (continued drinking)

Great great night. Great great night.

The SPECIAL

I don’t want to BE SPECIAL.
I just want to FEEL SPECIAL.
There is a difference, a very big difference.
BEING SPECIAL is exhausting, FEELING SPECIAL isn’t, far from it.
In fact, you can fake it.
“They” can fake it.

Illegitimate Deja Vu

I both love and hate surprises. I love the idea of being overwhelmed with happiness and I love the adrenaline rush. What I hate about it is my not having control over my reaction. I guess there will forever be situations where I could not stop myself from sweating and where I could not plan on what I would do or say.

It was hard for me to see the future of my past at present. It was like an illegitimate déjà vu.

Hahaha…

In-FAT-CHEW-WAITED

It’s amazing how in one day, a person begins to feel things she never felt before. It’s surprising how life is the biggest comedian that anyone will ever meet. For almost three days now, my mind’s been filled with thoughts of “what-could-be’s” involving someone I just met, well “sort of just met.” A year in law school made me mature, but I guess my maturing doesn’t stop me from being heavily infatuated with a guy. I just realized that I am not really that hard to figure out, I fall for guys who uhmm, make me laugh and make me feel special. A single moment of pseudo-intimacy lures me into thinking that I like the warmth that I get from the person. This warmth tells me that he isn’t afraid of me, the loud me, the foolish me, the shallow me, and every intricacy that is me. It’s easy to be friends with me but it’s hard to really figure out what I am into.

I am beginning to know more about him, we’ve been talking and sharing a few “us” time together. I don’t think it’s anything romantic… yet. I don’t even believe it will go any further simply because there is no way we can continue seeing each other. When the school year starts, my being a social outcast will resume and he’ll begin to realize how impossible it is for us go deeper. Sad,sad reality.

Crime Rhyme

I am water, you’re electricity.
Together we are deadly,
Useful, individually.
I am your conductor,
You personify my horror.
Still, I want you…
Let me be deadly with you.
Flow, fast and controlling.
Let’s create a crime while smiling.

ARETE: Ateneo School of Law Orientation Seminar 2006

It probably will be one of the highlights of my 4 years in the law school. It was a great experience, to be given the chance to officially welcome the still happy freshmen before they realize how effin’ hard it is to be a law stude. It was just a year ago when I was like ‘em, just another hopeful face in a crowd of excited freshies hoping to excel. At that time I was thinking of how I would really want to host the OrSem the next year, or whenever I would be invited to. Well, I got my wish… and so much more.

I can’t take all the credit, I shared the stage with an equally or probably more entertaining host, AJ. I didn’t know AJ until enrollment, when he asked me if I was Eunice. That’s when I found out that we’ll be co-hosting the OrSem. I have nothing but praises for him; he’s a warm, hilariously funny and well, crazy man. We got to really interact when we sort of had a run through a week before the OrSem. I was amazed at how easy it was to jive with him, it didn’t take time before we got into the groove and the rest was history. Our batchmates were laughing at the things that we said, that’s when I felt sure that hosting the OrSem would be a breeze with him around. You will forever be my Mr. OrSem. Hahahaha.

The speakers were all good, I found myself really listening, and it’s not that I didn’t listen a year ago. I agree with Mia when she said that it’s only now that we really get to appreciate these things. After a year, we can totally relate to what the speakers are saying. It’s like rediscovering the law school. I’m sure a lot of the freshmen are like me, I was in denial that law school’s going to be hard. What could be hard in memorizing and reading right? Oh well, I just hope we did a great job in making them realize that it’s definitely going to be far from being a walk in the park.

Three of my friends from UP are in the same section that I was in during my first year. [Side Kwento: The only reason why I’m not in Section C anymore is because the whole block was renamed as Section B… ] Gino, Lili Mae and Monette are all from The UP School of Economics and they were also my orgmates, we’re all from the UP Economics Society. [Haze, a fellow Upian, and I got into a conclusion that former UP students tend to sit on front of the class. I guess it’s a manifestation of our lack of fear in professors, a fear that I immediately retained after a sem, thus the change in my seat during the second semester…transferred to the 2nd row, and yes, it made a big difference, haha]. Anyway, there were a lot of interesting students from the new 1-C, one is … drumroll please… Mikko Samson. If you’re wondering who he is, uhmm, if you used to watch Gimik, he was Tonsi, 1/3 of the love triangle with Camille Pratts and Stefano Mori. Kamusta naman diba? Now I’m thinking of a Face off between Yves [our batch’s “artista”] who was from TGIS and Mikko. Hehe, kidding. This year’s Section C is surely star-studded.

Aside from my reunion with former orgmates, I was surprised when I saw another familiar face in the audience, Jericho Salenga. He was my classmate back in grade school, the last time I saw him was more than three years ago, i think. I was invited by his twin to their house. I have a funny anecdote pa pala, I went to their house to listen to his brother’s business proposal, in the middle of his business presentation, Jason [Jericho’s twin] told me that my mom’s on the phone. I felt confused because it was impossible for my mom to call me since she didn’t know where I was going and she didn’t know their house’s phone number plus she could always contact me through my cellphone. So I went to answer the phone, only to find out that there was no phone call. It was only Jericho who wanted to catch up because we haven’t seen each other since grade six. So we ended up chatting for an hour, yata. He’s a nice guy; it’s nice that he’s in law school. I heard his brother’s in med school, glad they’re both doing well.

During the OrSem Night, Section C’s Representatives for Mr. And Ms. OrSem, Monina and Eric bagged the first prize, C also won the “WHAT’S the LETTER? That’s the LETTER!” contest, Mikko also wowed the crowd through his rendition of Edwin McCain’s I’ll Be, their rep for the Olympics almost won, if only he UNDRESSED FASTER in front of me [that didn’t sound right, haha], and their rep for most number of words memorized also did ok. All in all, SECTION C was victorious in their own right. Aww yeah! Jeno’s worth menotioning, she really cared for the Freshies.

C… nong tatay nyo?!

I’m happy that people had fun during the OrSem, it’s always a high to make people laugh. It’s nice to know that they appreciate the effort that AJ and I exerted. I went to the washroom for an “alone time” when a freshie entered. I felt touched when she said, “Ang galing mong mag-host. Kayo na nga lang nun kasama mo un nakakapagpagising sa amin e.” Tapos sabi ni Kay, sabi raw ng friend nya, nakakatuwa ako. It’s more than enough to make me feel that everything was worth it. Overall, the OrSem was more than fun; it was a wonderful experience especially because I was able to share it not only with old but also new friends.

Dorts' Wedding....

“Love may be blind but marriage is a real eye-opener. “

A real eye-opener? It maybe is, and in this case, to a romantic cynic like me. I’ve been to a couple of weddings myself, some of which I didn’t really “attend” if you know what I mean but the last wedding that I was invited to meant a lot because for the first time in ages, it got me into thinking of how wonderful a feeling it is to be finally with someone you want to spend the rest of your life with. Dorts found her [and well, “our”, since that’s what the whole block call him] SWEETIE.

The first time we sort of got to know about her plan to get married, I don’t think the block took it seriously, I mean, we were kinda in denial still that yes, we aren’t young anymore and that yes, some of us are in the “MARRYING STAGE”. We took the plan seriously when Dorts one day arrived at school sporting her engagement ring. One couldn’t miss it, the ring is GORGEOUS. It’s the kind of ring that would make you say yes, it’s a screaming I LOVE YOU.

As a lot of you know, “mah girls” and I have been rigorously trying to prepare for Dorts’ BIG DAY. Well, I think we did make the FASHION GODS and GODDESSES proud because we looked damn good that day. [ o diba, may thwang ang paragraph na ito to give it an im-not-that-serious-pero-totoo-rin-kahit-paano-modesty-aside-kumbaga mood]

But of course, this wouldn’t be a certified Legally Blunt blog entry if there weren’t no mishaps.

The day before Dorts’ wedding, I bought these shoes, [no they’re not cheap which makes me scream “WHAT ARE THE CHANCES?” more!] the problem was that the pair that was on display was the last pair in size 8, therefore since I liked it sooo much because it’s soooo me, I bought it still. That was a very big mistake. The next day, we were supposed to meet up at Mel’s condo so we could go to Valle Verde together. My family decided to give me a ride since they’re hearing mass at the EDSA Shrine and the condo’s in front of Galleria. My family decided to have breakfast at Chowking. While I was inching my way to our table, my right shoe suddenly got torn in half. I literally couldn’t even drag it with my feet because there was nothing I could hold on to. Can you just imagine the horror that I felt when I realized what happened? Anyway, I was still lucky because it didn’t break during the wedding; the worst that could’ve happened was if it broke while I was strutting my stuff at the Church aisle for the offertory. Fine, I wasn’t even supposed to “STRUT” during the offertory but it’s not like I exert effort. Anyway, all’s well that ends well… MIGHTY BOND saved the day. Woohoo.

At Mel’s condo, I found out that Shem forgot to bring her shoes for the wedding. HER SHOES! We all came into an agreement that Shem could not possibly go to the wedding in slippers. No, no. So she had to drive fast, err since we’re talking about Shem, she had to drive like her usual self to her condo to get her shoes.

During the ceremony, the wedding coordinator approached us to ask if we know the people in her list for the offertory. I said yes and introduced her to everyone in her list. She felt relieved and then blurted out, “Bakit sabi nila di kayo ito?” [Pointed at Haze]. Natawa na lang kami ni Kiboy.

During the offertory, I felt like it was a fashion show, the aisle being the catwalk because we had to walk back to our seats through the aisle again after giving the stuff we offered. ‘twas because there was no space for us to walk in at the side. Time to shine.

The reception was at The Shangrila in Makati. We felt like we were bursting in happiness for Dorts because not only was she glowing but we felt like she was right were she belongs. When she sang “From this Moment On” while walking towards Sweetie, we couldn’t help but believe in love again.
A wedding as beautiful as Dorts’ and Patrick’s only has a limited number of effects on people… envy, happiness and well, that craving to hold someone else’s hands quick and be swept away by him. In my case, the strongest effect was the latter, it however instantly faded when I remembered a line formed because of a weird anecdote in the wedding…

Sa hinaba-haba man ng prosisyon, in the end, *MAGPAPA-GAS ka rin. evil grin

* “Magpapa-gas” is a term that my friends and I now use when we want to talk about uhmm, “the things” that couples do in private. We started using it on the day of Dorts’ wedding when this uhmm, “couple” took a long time to arrive at Shang because they suspiciously got lost during our pseudo-convoy. Sabi ni lalaki, “Nagpa-GAS lang daw sila.” Oh well, ‘nuf said.
