HOW DID WE COME TO THIS?
My friend and I were talking and she said something really weird. All I was able to say was, "How and when did we come to this point?" It's so sad that things are really changing. And this isnt about love. Argh.
The SIGNS are Right
I gave in to being silly. This is supposed to be a secret between me and myself but for the sake of fun and excitement, I shall share it with everyone. Almost all of my friends know that at present, I am eyeing this guy... the guy whom we call, "The BETTER FLAME" and whose identity remains unknown to everyone. Yes, I am not gonna reveal his identity unless we start really dating. Now, since i've been going through an emotional rollercoaster again due to some guy from the past's "come back", I decided to play a little game with fate and God, so for the past few days I've been making bets with fate. Ganito.
Sign no. 1:While I was drinking with friends, I told God... "Lord, if he texts me before this cigarette that I'm smoking runs out, he's worth pursuing." Lo and behold, he texted just in time. But I told myself, "beginner's luck ito!" and opted to continue the dare.
Sign no. 2: While I was fulfilling my daily dose of Sudoku, I once again tested our "fate" by telling God, "Lord, I don't guess when I am solving Sudoku but for the first time I will.. if this turns out to be right, MAYBE he's worth pursuing...." Well, well, well. Let's just say that I solved the Sudoku right after I guessed which number to write on that square.
Sign no.3: I told God while I was in [i invoke my right against self-incrimination so I wont say where], "Lord, if he arrives tonight, then maybe I can give this a go.... After a few minutes, he did come. And I couldnt help but be hopeful that we might be on to something.
Sign no.4: The next bet was, "If he purposefully approaches me and say "Sorry" for that thing he did the other night no matter how petty it was, then... Ok fine." So he did, after a few minutes of pretending that I didnt see him, he approached me and said sorry, with his pa-cute smile and his bolero "akbay". I was kind of smitten.
Sign no.5: Eunice told self, "If he asks me to do something personal, or if he does something that I think is personal... I will start believing." He once again went to my "spot", asked me to [will not say what he asked me to do], went over my stuff to look for something. Pakshet na talaga.
So there, after five signs I was kind of sure that there might be a chance.
BUT HE LEFT WITHOUT EVEN SAYING GOODBYE. And we're back to zero. Oh well.

WALANG BEARING
I was both surprised and relieved when I nonchalantly blurter out, "Wala un bearing. It was a big joke." last night. It was an answer to a question that I've been asking myself for a few months already. Finally, I am at peace with THAT chapter of my story.
