I wrote my entries about the OrSem and Dorts' wedding in advance, but since our Computers in Ateneo are losers because we cant use our Flash disks / diskettes.. i'll have to post it some other time. Oh well.

REUNITED (and It Feels So Good)

Just got home from Tubby's not-so-surprise birthday party. yebah. We
are officially back in each other's arms (yuck, feeling lovers eh)after a 3-
month hiatus. It's great, we talked, laughed, criticized each other like nothing
happened. Its the truest kind of friendship.I'm tired as usual, not from work
(thank God) but from laughing maniacally at every jokes my friends made. I Can
say that my sense of humor is at its best when I'm with them.

Super thanks to DIshwalla (the other celebrant), Scarlet (who came all the
way from Ortigas---parang ang layo noh?), and Susy and Geno. Of course, PERKS
SQUAD is complete after uhm, One year? oh shoot. Wala kaming Group Pic! Bad
trip. Anyway, it was super fun. Suka level kami kakain at nagkandapaso- paso ang
dila ko sa paginom ng pagkainit init na tsaa ng Starbucks.

And what is a Perksquad and friends gimmick without the usual comic/
surreal episodes?

1.) Nauna si Tubby na dumating kesa sa kanila
2.) Magkakaroon kami ng Bituing Walang Ningning Acting contest sa Greenbelt
3.) Nabanlian ni Mamba si Queer ng Umuusok na french press
4.) Ilalagay ko ang napakandang Ann Taylor dress na binili sa isang gutay-
gutay na paperbag
5.) Pagbibitbitin namin si Tubby ng isang box ng cake habang
naggagalivanting kami sa GB (sosyal na sosyal)Ayun... next time na ang kwento...

Yay!

Yay! Taylor Hicks is the new AMERICAN IDOL… I know that it’s been a week but wadda heck.

Anyway, I am really looking forward to Philippine Idol in ABC5. I wonder who’s gonna be hosting it and who will Randy’s, Paula’s and Simon’s counterparts be. I am sure it’s going to be awkward, knowing how the brains of the Philippine industry work, they will try to “imitate” these three judges. I am sure uhmm, it just won’t work. I mean, Simon is British and it’s sort of in their culture to be rude err, straightforward to say the least. But Filipinos are diplomatic and are not really confrontational.
Basta JV, iboboto ka naming pag sumali ka. =P

Kasalanan ko talaga.

Last Friday, I was supposed to meet up with Mel at Starbucks Loft, Rockwell for our surprise birthday bash for Shem. Our “call time” was at 9 am and I arrived around 10. I left my house at around 8:45 thinking that traffic can’t be bad. But hell I was wrong, the traffic was terrible and as much as I don’t want to make excuses for myself, it was an [un]avoidable circumstance, well, sort of since if I left my house earlier then I would’ve gotten there on time. To add insult to the injury, when I arrived at Starbucks, Jay told me that Mel just left. JUST LEFT. Being the optimistic that I am, I tried to look for her at the Pancake House and even in Ateneo, but at the back of my mind, I knew that she left and that I deserved it.

The most painful part of the whole thing was that I missed Shem’s birthday. Shem has always been the “thoughtful one”. She was the most game with regard to planning for surprise parties, trips and even simple get togethers featuring the video presentation that she has been working on. I don’t want her to feel that I didn’t appreciate her cooking for me on my birthday and the video that she made for me, or the cd that she gave us for Christmas.

So this is a sort of PUBLIC APOLOGY for Shemshem. I texted her the evening of her birthday but I know it’s not enough. Basta, I WILL MAKE IT UP TO YOU.
